Rock-N-4L Training Facility

About Us

Left to Right : Justin and Miranda Tucker, Marla and Rick Lacey, Kelly and Luke Kelley.

Rick and Marla Lacey have been involved in many different aspects of the horse industry over the years. Rick has been a farrier for over twenty years. And have competed in everything from team sorting, team penning, barrel racing, roping, pulling horses, rodeo,  and race horses. They have two daughters; Miranda and Kelly who have also been exposed to many different horse disciplines. After they finished High School Rodeo, they both went on to College Rodeo. They were very competive in the rodeo world and both still participate in barrel races around the country. Many years later found horsemen of their own to settle down with and start their families.

At the training center we specialize in training young thoroughbreds. We try to expose each of them to as much as possible. As for the older horses, they are galloped and put on the indoor equi-ciser if it is too muddy.

We also offer a lay-up facility for horses that are sore coming off the track. The equi-ciser is great for horses that are not able to be ridden but need some exercise.

We also board various horses from show horses to trail horses. This is a very diverse farm and we are always open to new ideas.

We have also added hydro-therapy summer 2010. Swimming is one of the best low stress exercises available for any horse.

Training tracks provide a laid-back atmosphere and convenience that trainers cannot enjoy at the racetrack, especially those whose stables are largely made up of young horses. Other horsemen simply like the ability to train their horses in a less regimented atmosphere they can call their home base, with paddocks for trunout, relaxed training hours, and much less chaos! All of these benefits have added to the popularity of private training centers.
